I thought that I would tell you a little bit about myself, and my Scentsy journey, so far. I started using Scentsy in my home in 2007. I was introduced to Scentsy by my friend, Shelly Jackson. She was a Scentsy Consultant, and I was amazed by the wonderful smell of her home. I began buying it that day.
It wasn’t until March of 2009, when both of my children were now in school, and I needed something else to do with all of that extra time! It was then that I was going to place a reorder for some Scentsy bars with Shelly. My husband looked at me, and said, “Nik, I know what you can do. You should sell Scentsy! You sell it every time someone walks into our home anyways, but then you will earn the money.” I thought about it, and thought, what do I have to lose? I LOVE Scentsy, and it is only $99 to join. I signed up to be a consultant on March 14th, 2009.
14 days later, I had my Launch Party. I sold over $1,000.00 and promoted directly to Certified Consultant! I also qualified for the Shooting Star Enhancement Kit, and ordered it.
My very good friend, Angie Castillo had my first basket party. She lugged that huge basket of Scentsy party testers all over, and sold $600.00 instantly! She decided to join, and was my very first recruit and team member!!! How exciting! I was on my way, and got to share
the Scentsy business opportunity with one of my dearest friends.
Each month I had the most amazing feedback and sales. I promoted to Lead Consultant in April of 2009 and in May, I reached Scentsational Start Level 3!!! Besides the awards, I received $200.00 in Scentsy credit! I was also recognized on stage at the 2009 Scentsy Convention in Utah. Very exciting, and embarrassing all at the same time. I could hear our group cheering for me from the back of the Convention Center.
In July, 2009, I received an email from Scentsy. I won an Alaskan Voyage for 7 days!!! My husband and I went on an amazing Alaskan Cruise that included a day in Canada. Thank you Scentsy!!! It was more beautiful than I had ever imagined. I’ve since won trips to Hawaii, Boston, Disney World, and in June 0f 2011 I will be in Punta Cana!
My team continued to grow, but was also very strong. I promoted to Scentsy Director in October 2009! Soon after that, Angie promoted to Director, and my cousin Tina signed up and promoted to Director, all within 3 months!!!
In March of 2010, I promoted to STAR DIRECTOR! I was one of the first Star Directors in California. I continued to work hard and grow a strong team. In November of 2011, I promoted again to SUPERSTAR DIRECTOR, can you believe that? I still can’t.
Wow! What a ride so far. I believe that you get out of Scentsy what you put into it. The Scentsy Career might not be what you choose. You might choose part-time. That is o.k. We are Independent Consultants, and we can run and grow our businesses as much as we want. I have chosen Scentsy as my career. I would never be where I am today without the support of my family. My husband works full-time, and when he comes home at night, he works on Scentsy. I am so grateful for him. I am grateful for Scentsy, and for my customers.
